Stock Market Conditions Continue to Affect Investment Plans |

Very little else is showing up on the radar of the affluent than the economy. This is the story in the news that is most taking their attention at this time, and it is little wonder, with new headlines of another bank bailout, the auto industry struggles, and constant supposition by the media about what President-elect Obama will do to get the country back on track.
As oil/gas prices have fallen, that particular drama has slipped to the background, as has the Iraq War and Housing and Real Estate (though with new figures out new lows for real estate, this may reemerge as an issue for the affluent).
Looking at the historical figures below, it is easy to see what a rollercoaster ride this year has been. The affluent, like the rest of America, have got to be looking for a little respite from the ups and downs of the economic and political ride the country has been on.
