Though still eight months away, the upcoming election is weighing heavily on the minds of the Affluent and Millionaires. The hot Democratic race between Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton is getting a lot of incendiary media coverage and the almost assured Republican nomination of John McCain is causing a furor among political conservatives.

Historically over the last year, the Iraq War has dropped as a concern, and the housing and real estate market has risen, peaking in August. After the initial panic wore off of the real estate crisis, it has dropped somewhat as a concern, to only 23% this month, for the Affluent who were probably less affected than many other groups of Americans.

This month the economy was a bigger concern than it has been, over the year. As the Fed tries to help the economy recover, this concern may rise again.
