Perceptions of Issues : Economy still top threat to achieving goals |

Unsurprisingly, the affluent continue to rank the economy as the most serious threat to achieving their household goals. The turmoil continues, including oil prices surging past $143 for the first time ever.
Since the Democratic race has finally resolved itself, the political climate has become less of a relevant issue for the affluent, in particular, but the wealthy in general. It is predictable that this concern will rise again as the main race heats up before November 2009.
That Housing and Real Estate are less of a concern is logical considering that the affluent are cautiously re-investing in that vehicle, perhaps making lemonade from the subprime lemons.
Moving forward, keeping an eye on the overall economy and other key factors will be wise as the affluent are usually one step ahead of the rest of the investing world.
