Top of the list of concerns in Perception of Issues for the Affluent and Millionaires is Increasing Oil and Gas Prices (45%). This is not surprising considering the recent spike in fuel price with the summer travel season approaching. Expensive fuel costs are effecting Americans across the board, influencing a wide range of aspects like the price of goods due to increased shipping costs,  commuting costs, vacations plans and airfare.

Coming in a distant second on the list is Housing and Real Estate (13%). Looking at concerns over time, its obvious that this recent spike in oil price has affected the affluent profoundly as gas prices at the pump and airfare costs are hitting the affluent wallet.. The February 2007 Iraq war concern is the only issue that has approached this level, though it has plummeted recently.

As summer winds on, and gas prices continue to rise, as predicted, this concern will, most likely, not abate.
